Parker has had a really hard time this past fall & winter with his ears. We have had in at the Dr's every month since October, with either another infection or continual fluid behind his ears, that just simply would never drain. So, last Friday he got tubes in his ears. He was pretty good for all of the prep stuff, he pushed any & every button he could find on any machine. He had this one machine just beeping like crazy & finally the nurse, just turned it off. He was so facinated by it. Then, the nurse & Dr took him back. It was so cute, he had his blanket & his stuffed lion, & just walked back with them like he had know them them his whole life. (He has no problem going with complete strangers, a bit scary! YIKES!) They came & got me & my mom about 25 minutes later for recovery. After they put him to sleep, the whole procedure took 17 minutes, pretty amazing! And by 8:30 in the morning, he was already the 3rd for the day. The recovery was a little rough. He cried & just clung onto me. He was confused & didn't know what had just gone on. So we sat there for about 25 minutes. Then they released us. When everything was said & done, we were not even in there an hour & a half. That's way less time than when I was pregnant & would go in for a check-up. Crazy! It took him until about noon, to really get back to his old self. So, all in all, it was Great! And hopefully he won't have any more problems. We have to take him back in tomorrow for a week check up. And I'm sure things will be good! YEAH!!
