Tess My LIttle Politician

I just have to share what happened yesterday in the grocery store. Clayn had dropped me & Tess off at Walmart, while he & Parker went to run a few other errands. So, Tess & I are getting our food. We were just about finished & we ran into one of my friends that lived in a previous ward, that we don't get to see as much. As we were talking, Tess was just listening & Heather was talking to Tess, asking her what she had been doing & how she was. She answered her questions, then out of the blue, Tess asked her who she was voting for. Heather looked at me & started laughing, here is this little 4 year old wanting to talk politics & not only can she talk about them, she can tell you who is running & who she wants to vote for & win. She informed Heather who is republican, that she was going to vote for Obama & that she really does not want Hillary Clinton to win. Heather was just laughing, & agreed that with how the republican party is looking that Obama is looking like our best choice. Tess really is quite vocal with how she feels about Obama. She knows who he is. Now, yes Clayn is all for Obama. But, Tess has come up with this on her own. Because, I've had my own favs. She has heard several names around the house, Edwards, Romney, LCinton, McCain, & her #1 man Obama.

When we first found out how she felt, was about a month ago, I was in the kitchen cooking dinner & Clayn & his parents were in watching a debate & Tess & Parker had been running around & playing. Nobody was even thinking twice about them & in the middle of dinner Tess informs us that she is going to vote for Obama & that she doesn't like Hillary Clinton at all. Which nothing had been said that night about how anybody felt about either candidate. About a week later, Clayn was going to the Caucus held at ISU & I was going to my Stampin Up Card Class. Tess, could not figure out why I wasn't going to go & make my vote & why she couldn't go & vote for Obama. She was very sad that night! Clayn did tell her that they would talk about politics as much as she wanted & he would help her with any questions that she had. When Clayn came home the only thing that she wanted to know, was if he got to see & shake Obama's hand. She could not understand why daddy would go & vote for him & why Obama wouldn't be there. She really wants to meet him! Who knows maybe we've got our own little president here on our hands!!!
