Ahh, Spring!

I haven't posted in a while.  Life has a way of keeping me very busy these days.  I have been needing Spring very badly, & I feel like we have had winter for the past 9 months.  So, to finally have some warmer weather is very Welcoming!
Here are a few pictures of this Easter Season.  I love this sweet picture of Tess.  She is doing so well, and as Mrs. Rodriguez told us the other night that she is just a little delight in school & a social butterfly.  Hmmm, I wonder where she got that from.  Ponder that one for a bit.....

I have been quite crafty lately making some Easter & Spring decorations.
I made this wreath.  I think that it turned out pretty cute!

And my little Spring Topiaries out of jelly beans.  These are one of my favorites that I have made.  I have loved them.

Parker got 2 magnifying glasses & he has been my little detective.  He has made me laugh!

For Book Club this month, it was my month & this was our book.  I love this book, I know that I have posted about it before.  But, I do love it!  I want to go to Guernsey & meet up with all of my friends!

I had an Easter theme & Libby made us this super yummy carrot cake.
On the menu we had Cilantro Shrimp Pasta, Homemade Italian Bread, A yummy Salad, & this delicious cake.  We had so much fun!  We maybe talked about the book for 10 or 15 minutes & then we spent the next 4 hours discussing life & laughing.  So good, talk about therapy!  This is it for me!

This was my pretty table for our gathering!

Tess had her great to be 8 night at the church.  She came home with some great things to get her ready to be baptized at the end of summer.  Our Primary Pres.  made all of the kids these towels & embroidered CTR on them.  So cool!

Easter Egg Hunt in Bear River
Cortney was giving Park some helpful hints on getting the most eggs.

And, they are off & running, at least Parker is, McKell not so much in a hurry.

Tess on the run for eggs, eggs, & more eggs!

Getting ready for the egg hunt at Mema's!

This is my Dad, polishing his cars.  He makes me laugh.  I told him that I was going to take a picture & for him to turn around & he just ignored me, so here is my Dad!

My Mom & I took the kids to the Park after all of the eggs, she also gave them hop paddle hitters, & kites.

Mom & Seth

Playing at the Park
OK, so I have to take a minute to post about our 3 oldest girlies.  My mom & I were talking about how different they all are.  My brother Spencer, hit the nail on the head describing them.
We have little Mattie Ann, she is the little adventurer/ dare devil.  She's not afraid of much & usually has the big ideas.

Next we have Molli Jean, she is the little innocent one.  She is a little more hesitant to commit & usually plays it safe, nothing scary.  A side note:  I relate most with our little Molli, as a child I was just like her.  She is the oldest of the 3 of them.

Next, we have Tess, she is the analyzer.  She wants to know the how, what, why of everything.  She wants to know everything before she will commit.

So, now that you have the background of these 3 little girlies.
Here's what went down.  The kids are playing on the merry-go-round, and Mattie says, "Hey guys I know what we can do.  Let me go and ask Mema something."  She runs over, "Hey Mema, Will you please take us down to dead man's cave?"
Molli said, "No, Mema, that is too scary!  I don't want to!"
Tess said, "Mema, Why is it called Dead man's cave?  Is there a dead man down there?  How, Why!?"
Dead man's cave is a little grove of trees down by the Bear River.  I have never been down there, because I was always way too scared.  So, we went back to the house & got Cort & he came with us to take them down there.
They all ended up going down there & it was the high light of the day.
Our 3 little girls are so cute & I can't wait to see them grow & find out for them selves who they are and see their little personalities bloom & grow~

Dead Man's Cave

Whoosh, we survived Dead Man's Cave!

Melissa- your craft skills slay me! I seriously want you to make me a wreath! Let me know what you would charge me. And the jelly bean topiaries? They are incredible too! Loved this post. It really captures what is important to you: creating beautiful memories with your children and family.
