I have realized that I have not posted in a while. Life is good. Life is CrAzY! We get so busy running, and just trying to keep up with life. So, I'll just do a little update on everyone....
Clayn - He was going to start his PhD this semester, but things happen in unexpected ways that really show up later as a huge blessing. He got everything turned in & he got a call from the grad schools registers office, and his transcripts were a year too old. He has to get them from BYU & The U of I. They are of course the same transcripts, just today's date on them. This all happened the week before school started. Yes, Clayn tends to be a bit of a procrastinator. Well, as this semester has started, he has realized that this semester is not going to be an easy one, just the opposite with all of his new on line courses. So, to make a long story short, he will begin this summer. It will take him 4 semesters of school, maybe 5 & 1 year on writing the distortion. He is also teaching Tess's primary class. And he really seems to enjoy it. He ways that he feels like this is his way of making sure that Tess has been taught well, before she gets baptized in August.
Tess - This little girl is my little sweetheart. She is doing AMAZING in school, she is reading on a 4th just about 5th grade level. She is bringing home chapter books, with well over 120 pages, and she is in the middle of her first grade year. I'll tell you that I was not reading like that when I was her age. She is also, in the top group of her class in math. She's just a smart little thing. I know that I'm bragging now, but, I'm the mom, I have that right. I just need to share little thing that happened with her last week. Clayn, ran her over some lunch money, while, he dropped it off to her, Mrs Rodriguez grabbed Clayn & told him that right before recess, that there was this little girl & she just had on a little jacket & it was really cold outside. Mrs. Rodriguez told this little girl that she would run her down to the office & see if they had a extra coat that this little girl could wear. Tess went & got her coat & gave it to the little girl & Tess wore her jacket out. Tess told Mrs Rodriguez, that she had a on sleeve shirt & this little girl just had on short sleeve shirt. Mrs Rodriguez had tears in her eyes while she was telling this to Clayn. When I went into parent teacher conference last week, she shared this same thing with me & she told me that she thinks that eve more important than the reading, writing, spelling & math that it is that these kids are good & responsible human beings. She told me that she thinks that Tess has the kindest heart of anyone that she has seen. That she will help other kids all the time. I know long story. But, I am so very proud of her & the good girl that she is!
Parker - Oh, Parker! What do I say about this little boy.... he is pretty darn smart also. I'm not surprised. He is spelling words & reads some. He came up to me the other day & said "Mom, I can count to 100. Do you want to hear?" Me, being the incredible mom that I am said, "No. Go and count 100 toys to clean up off your floor, (AWESOME, right!?!). " He starts counting & the little stink did not miss one number, he was right on with all of them. He loves doing the big 50 -100 piece puzzles. He also, loves doing the word searches & he is actually very good at them. He is obsessed with the Wii, he loves the Lego Batman game & the Lego Star Wars. He is so dang cute with saying his prayers. He blesses Doug & Bentlee (Em's husband & baby), and my 2 grandma's. He just thinks that they need the extra prayers. We are proud of him & he is very excited about going to kindergarten next year. I really can not believe that I will be home alone then. I'm a little sad, but I would say mostly excited. He is ready to go & I think that he will do great also.
Me - Well, I think that I can say that I have had better months than what January has been. I have fallen 3 times in 3 weeks. I know AWESOME, right! My butt has just about killed me. I had 3 days of laying on the couch not being able to move. I have felt like YW is kicking my butt a bit, a few issues. Hopefully, we can be up & running great with in the next couple of weeks. Our Fridge is going out on up & our Oven/Stove is having some problems, also. So, guess where tax money is going for that, Fun Times; NOT! I have been very proud of myself with how I have been keeping up the house. I cleaned all the up stairs so good, right after Christmas when I was taking down my Christmas decor. Then I have been getting up every morning & after I get Clayn & Tess out the door. I dust, vacuum, sweep, and clean the bathroom for the past 2 weeks. I make sure that the kitchen is cleaned up & the up stairs, too every night before I go to bed. I have felt that my house has been able to stay pretty much spotless. I LOVE IT!!! I have a few sewing projects that I"m going to be working on. I have listened to a ton of books on my Digital Talking Book Player that I got a couple of months ago. I have listened to some fun ones. It is so nice to have a book to listen to as I'm cleaning or doing YW or sewing. I'm loving it!
So, I guess in a nut shell that has been our lives. Life is never not going to be crazy, so I figure that I will just hop on & enjoy this ride, it's the only one I've got. So, I might as well have fun along the way.
