Where does time go? It is escaping me so fast these days. It has been quite some time that I have actually posted something of substance. As I am sitting here in my storage/computer/catch all room, that is totally a mess with clothes strewn all over from Parker throwing them, to a stack that I am making for a yard sell that I hope to have ready in a month or so. I am thinking that I should be cleaning up this mess. However, the longer I sit here & type & listen to the hum of the dryer, I am getting tired.
Clayn got a new game for the Wii. I think that it's called EA Sports or something along those lines & you can set up workouts & there is a personal trainer for you. We just got it in the mail yesterday. We got up this morning & did the beginner work out & it was A LOT of fun & I'm really feeling it with all of the squats, running, & jumping. Then, the kids & I walked Clayn to work & back & got just about 2 miles in. Yeah, Pat ourselves on the back.
I am having a Pampered Chef open house tonight & I have been working on getting the house all cleaned up & it looks & smells very good. Clayn paid me a compliment yesterday that really meant a lot. When he came in from work, & the kids were outside playing, and I was sitting & enjoying the clean, quiet house that smelled freshly cleaned ( I love that smell). I said quite proudly "So, how does the house look & more importantly how does it feel?" He said "Amazing! But you know what, this does not feel like it's something new. It looks & feels this way all the time. It's does not feel or look any different than it normally does." That made me feel good, that I really do make a effort to keep my house clean . . . that is the upstairs at least. The downstairs, is a whole other story. So, tonight the house will hopefully be filled with some of my dear friends, mingling & eating & just enjoying themselves!
Tess has a new love. . . we got Alice in Wonderland on Netflix & the kid has seriously watched it 6 times in 2 1/2 days. Now what does that say about me. Yes, I once again get "The Mother Of The Year Award!" Because, I have let her watch it that much! The first time, I was not entirely sure how I felt about it. However the 2nd & 3rd times,(Yes I have watched it 3 times) I have enjoyed it a lot more. Tess thinks it is AMAZING! She makes me laugh!
Speaking of Tess, I have some pictures that I need to post, of some of the last days of school & her dance recital. She has been officially done with school for about 2 weeks now. She did AMAZING once again with school this past semester. I have absolutely loved watching her this year grow & learn so much in school. I have loved watching her progress in her reading & math, boy she's a quick little gal. Mrs. Rodriguez is truly the most amazing teacher around. I had been told how great she was & she measured even above what I had been told about her. She is so dedicated & LOVES those little kids so much! I am so grateful that Tess has been so blessed to be a part of something so Great! Tess's reading went from a level 12 in Feb to a level 19 in May. When they leave kindergarten the kids are supposed to be at a level 10, & when the leave first grade they should be at a level 20. Well, my little Tess is going to be in the first grade at a level where she she needs to be in the 2nd grade. YEAH, I love the successes that she is having! I am so Proud of her & I know that I am boosting just a bit, but I am her mom & will always be her biggest fan!
Parker has turned into being the Champion on the Wii with the sword fighting, of course. The kid is seriously so good at it. I love to sit & watch him play, because he is so intent & focused on what he is doing. He also, loves to play games on the computer. I know that a lot of parents don't like their kids to play on the computer & Wii's. But, I think that he is learning a lot from them. I can't believe how well Parker uses the computer. He loves to play on Disney XD & Cartoon network, he can create his own games & I think that is great that this 4 year old can really create mazes & games to play. Look out Bill Gates, Parker Lambert is going to give you a run for your money when he gets older.
As for Clayn, he is busy teaching this summer 3 classes & he is getting ready to present at a Technology Conference in Salt Lake next week. I am very excited because the kids & I are going to go with him to this conference from Wed -Sat. I think that it will be a lot of fun. I am going to take the kids to the Discovery Kids Museum at The Gate Way. We took them there 2 years ago with Clayn's family & we had a great time. We will be staying just across the street. So we will spend the day there. I'm hoping that we can get some warm weather so we can spend some time in the pool. The hotel that we are staying at has a great outdoor pool with a large portion of the pool being shallow for kids. So, hopefully we can get some decent weather for a couple of days to spend there. And then hopefully we will also go to the Aquarium in Sandy. We have some fun things planned. It will be a much needed little vacation for us. And it doesn't hurt that the room, gas & a portion of Clayn's meals are being paid for. YEAH!
Well, I'd better run & get the kids some lunch. I'll have to get back on here & post some pics. Maybe a little later! In the words of Tigger, TTFN or Tah Tah For Now!
