He Lives

I did not do my Thankful post last night. So, I will do a double one this morning.

I am grateful I have the knowledge that we have a Heavenly Father who lives, who loves each one of us, knows us, & has a plan for our happiness. I have been blessed in my life to have been taught from a young age that I AM a child of God. What a precious knowledge to gain as a child. There are adults out there that have lived their whole life & still do no know this simple truth that has sustained me & blessed me throughout my life thus far. I hope & pray that I am teaching my children the same truths & that they will know that they too, are a child of God. I am also very Thankful for his son Jesus Christ, who came to earth as a baby and grew into our Perfect example. Showing love & charity to ALL that he came in contact with. Who blessed everyone, he healed the sick, he caused the lame to walk, the blind to see, the deaf to hear & even raised the dead to life. He gave us the most unselfish gift that anyone will ever be able to give the gift of forgiveness & eternal life. The atonement that our Savior made for me personally, has provided me with the HOPE that as imperfect as I am that I can return to live with my Father in Heaven again. And through the Resurrection of Christ all this has been possible for each one of us. We have been provided the measures that we need in order to succeed & prevail over death. How grateful I am for having been taught this as a child.

I know that my Redeemer lives;
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, He lives, who once was dead;
He lives, my ever living Head.

He lives to bless me with His love,
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed,
He lives to help in time of need.

What beautiful words to bring peace & comfort into our lives. I know that my Redeemer lives!
