Spring Break

We started our Spring Break by going to Idaho Falls, last Friday night & going to eat at Iggy's. It was very yummy & a good fun night. Then the beginning of the week on Monday, we started a HUGE painting project. Clayn took off the kitchen cupboard doors & drawers. We washed them down really well, sanded them, and primed them. Then the next day, we painted them with a beautiful green paint, called Green Brier. I love it! Then we got new hardware for them. We also painted my corner hutch, the same green - this also turned out Beautiful! We worked on this for the first 3 days. Then on Thursday, Clayn started painting the book cases, we painted it a lighter green, called Sweet Annie. Then I painted our fire place the same color. So, So, So Pretty! That night, we cleared out our living room & dining room & kitchen, & put everything in the Sun Room. We did take a break took the kids to a movie, Bed Time Stories, with Adam Sandler. It was sooo good! I loved it! On Friday, my parents came, and of course my Dad was here and ready to work by 7:30 AM. We painted our living room, in by the fireplace, down the steps, the dinning room, and landing, & the kitchen. My dad and Clayn got it all done, except the kitchen. It was a very long day! On Saturday, Clayn painted the kitchen, and I worked on putting things back together. That night Clayn was up until 2 AM, putting my cupboard doors & hardware back on. Needless to say, we are exhausted! The work was hard, the week was long, the out come is AMAZING!!! I just need to make a side note, that while I was downstairs painting & working on the cupboard doors, I watched all of the 1st & 2nd seasons of The Office on Netflix. I absolutely love this show! One of the funniest, shows, EVER! I have to say that I quite enjoyed myself, and had a fun time painting!
On Friday, we went & ran a few errands with my mom, and Tess informed my mom, that "My mom & dad get to do everything that they want to do, they don't know that I want to do something fun, it's my Spring Break, too." Oh, really, what on earth does Tess know about Spring Break, what a kid. So, we didn't go & see Monsters vs Aliens. It's only been out for 3 days, don't worry your little head off, we'll get there to see it, not on Spring break, but, maybe this next week. It feels good to be able sit back now & enjoy the finished product, Yeah!

This was so cute, I just had to add this in, on Thursday, Clayn was getting ready to run & make our millionth trip to Lowe's & he said that he would take the kids. Well, Tess decided that she didn't want to go, and that she was going to get ready & go to a Ball. She went downstairs & put on her tights, dress, sweater, and shoes. Then she asked me if I would do her hair in a side ponytail, so she could get ready for her fancy dinner & ball. Then she asked if I would take her picture. What a doll! She is Totally ALL Girl!

Clayn showed the kids how to paint & let them each paint a shelf on the book case, they loved it, they really felt like they were a part of this project, so Fun!

Friday Morning, Clayn & my Dad busy painting the living room.

Oh, Green Paint! I Love it!

While all of the painting was going on in the inside, this is what was going on outside, a little side walk art.

Ahh, nothing like a mountain of a mess! I had asked the kids to stack up all of the books & dvds & videos in the sunroom, & this is how it turned out, Love it!

The Finished Product! My Cute Green Cupboards & Drawers, my week long project, turned out quite nice!

It did turn out very nice. What a good thing to have over. Clean and darling all in one.

Yeah, but I don't think the pictures do justice to the amount of sore muscles that came as a result of this project....

Good Job on your house. It DOES look really good. I forgot that everything was white. I bet it felt good putting everything back on clean shelves. Yeah

I love the new color, it looks awesome. I wish I was brave enough to try colors like that.
