What A Week!

I am Thankful that last week is over! What a week! I have been trying to work with Parker on getting potty trained . . . UGH!!!! I HATE IT! The kid is impossible! I have tried everything, from a potty chair or the toilet, underwear no underwear, literally bare bum, every 45 minutes to sitting on the potty in front of TV watching a show, to stickers & treats. The kid is NOT inspired to go on the toilet. He thinks if he wears underwear & pees in them that he is a big boy, because he's "wearing Spiderman" on his bum. Really, No really!?! He told me that if he pees in his frisbee & we bake it, it will turn to apple pie. HONESTLY! He also, informed me that he loves to be pee bum! So, you ask why I'm going out of my mind, trying to get this kid to use the bath room? The kid is 3, weighs over 40 pounds, & he looks like he's at least 4 years old, he's going to be in Primary in less than 2 months & the most important I am 100% sick of buying diapers!!!!!!! REALLY! We have bought them straight for 5 1/2 years & I'm ready to be done with them. Then on top of all of this, I get sick on Thursday night & wake up throwing up. YUCK! This week is bound to get better, right?
If anybody has any advice on the whole potty training bit; Please let me know!

my mother and siblings all shook their heads at me when I shared my secret of potty training. We all know that all children are unique. I tried forcing my kids to potty train when I was ready. They resisted and I ended up wanting to strangle them. I gave up because I felt it wasn't worth all the stress. Baylee and Liam were both head strong and when they decided they didn't like poopy and wet pants, they trained themselves with positive reinforcement from me, of course. Brookie will be the same but I know now that I will not try to make it happen, I will follow her lead...hope that helps.

No advice, babe, but I have been buying diapers for nearly 10 years. Huggies just changed their diaper design this last spring--after 10 years! How can they charge so much when they are doing no new research?!

Anyway, good luck with the poop. It stinks. He, he.

Ew! Sorry about your week! Hope you feel better. I am so not looking forward to potty training again. I hope and pray that Averie will be as easy as Ellie was. She was completely trained in 2 days with never one accident...EVER!!! She has never wet at night or anything. Maycie on the other hand...well that's a story for another (long) day!
