I am so tired today, it seriously is crazy! We've had quite the past week! Clayn had this last week off, before he starts teaching summer semester (which begins tomorrow). So we thought that we'd better take advantage of it, and really try to get our yard done. We have been in our home 3 years in June. Within the first 3 weeks, after moving in, we found out that we had a leak in our sprinkling system and foundation, because our basement was flooded. YEAH! So, we got all that taken care of that year, but we just tapped off the sprinkling system on that side of the house & just thought we will deal with that one later, sure enough, now we have later! And, last year we had a huge cherry tree on this same side of our house, the key word being had. We had some guy come & trim it & he cut so much off of it that he killed it. So, last fall, my lumber jack Clayn (NOT), borrowed a chain saw from a neighbor & proceeded to take down the rest of this HUGE tree, I seriously wish that I had pictures, but our camera was busted, it was so big & he did it almost all by himself. So that has been the last 2 year of projects with this side of our house. Welcome this year, a side full of weeds and dirt. So , about 2 weeks ago, I spent the morning outside & dug up all the weeds & tried to get it cleaned up. Then last week, Clayn dug up the side & went & rented a leveler and leveled the side. Then we went to Lowe's (My favorite store, No, I'm serious! I love it! I would maybe consider getting a job there other than I know that I wouldn't make a penny!) and spent some money & got some bushes, 2 lilac trees, a gardenia bush (my Favorite), some flowers, solar lights, bark & hedging for a border. Then we came home & tried to sing the "Happy working Song, " from Enchanted, if only I knew all the words. But, honestly we worked in this yard from Monday til Thursday, Yeah & it's for the most part done, we just have to keep up with the watering. We got the grass planted on Thursday, so exciting! Yeah, but honestly what a week. I also, got my hair done, yeah cute hi-lightsto cover up all my gray hair, and we had dance practice, the Tumble Bus 3 times (for some make up sessions), pre-school, and Tess's dance recital and a 4 hour practice for it the morning of. Whew, what a week, no wonder why I'm so tired. So, here's a few pictures of the yard! Our Cute Little House! I love this house as much if not a little more than when we first moved into it! Now, yes, it's an 85 year old house, but you just don't get the character of the new homes like you do , in my cute old house. There is always a lot of work & up keep, but you get that with any house! I'll be updating when the grass really starts coming in!
